Club Rules for Ketteringham Hall Lake

 

             Rules

1)       The Club will be known as Ketteringham Hall Angling Club.

2)       Membership is by invitation of the Committee.

3)       The individual annual subscription is £70:00 All members must be in possession of a current Environment Agency Rod Fishing License, to be shown before membership card is issued.

4)       An additional one -off payment of £10 is required for New members wishing to join Ketteringham Hall Angling club

5)       The possession and use of lead weights is strictly forbidden at Ketteringham Hall Lake.

6)       Members are expected to attend at least 1 working party during the year to help with lake maintenance.

7)       The dates, duration and objectives of the working parties will be discussed and agreed in advance with the landlord.

8)       Subscriptions must be paid to a Committee member by 1st June each year.

9)       Membership to be capped at 50 persons

10)     The Committee will be elected from all members at the A.G.M, which is held during the closed season and will consist of (1) Chairman, (2) Secretary, (3) Treasurer and (4) Three other active members of the club. All officials will stand down at each AGM and new officials will be elected. Previous officials may stand for re-election. Committee meetings will be held as necessary.

11)     The elected Committee has the right to revise and amend rules as circumstances dictate.

12)      New members will be accepted by the Committee or at an AGM as appropriate.

13)      Application for new membership to come from employees of Group Lotus, Classic Team Lotus, Ketteringham Hall & renewals of existing membership. These will require a committee member's signature on their application before being accepted into the club.

14)      No camping on site is permitted (other than fishing bivvies/umbrellas). Fishing is restricted to a maximum of 48 hours continuously.

15)      All members must sign-in on arrival. A signing-in register is kept in a box under the boat

16)      All members are permitted to have one guest fishing with them. That member must accompany the guest at all times. All guests must be signed in, and must state their home address. First time guests must provide appropriate contact details.

17)      All members are responsible for ensuring their guests obey all the club rules. Breaches of any of the rules by a guest will result in them being banned from fishing at Ketteringham Hall Lake and may result in the member responsible being expelled from the club.

18)      All members must ensure their guests are in possession of a current Environment Agency Rod Fishing License and possess and use only non-toxic weights.

19)      All members are honorary bailiffs and are expected to see that the following rules are observed in addition to those above:

20)     Only genuine members and guests are fishing.

21)     No radios are played, no fires are lit and no dogs are allowed.

22)     Access is only by the staff entrance; all vehicles must be left in the car park and must not obstruct any entrance or roadway.

23)     Under no circumstances is parking on the Hall drive or grass verges permitted.

24)     All litter is to be removed even if you were not responsible for causing it.

25)     Any sign of pollution must be reported to a committee member as soon as possible.

26)     All buildings are strictly "Out of Bounds".

27)     Carp and pike must not be retained in a keep-net.

28)     An unhooking mat must be used for carp and pike.

29)     Carp Sacks may only be used for short periods during hours of darkness for photographic purposes only.

30)     Only one carp is allowed per sack.

31)     All rules must be adhered to; the Committee has the authority to withdraw membership if the rules are broken.

32)     Any person having membership withdrawn may appeal to the Committee for re-instatement; the Committee's decision is final.

33)     All new members will be on probation for the first 12 months. Within this period membership may be terminated by the Committee without explanation. In the case of such a termination the member's subscription will be refunded in full.

34)     An extraordinary general meeting may be called by any member by giving reason in writing to the club secretary at least 14 days before the required meeting date.

35)     Any and all rights to access and fishing on the Ketteringham Hall lake may be terminated by the landlord by giving immediate notice to the Committee, subject to the landlord refunding all the annual subscriptions on a pro-rata basis.

36)     KHAC membership cards are the property of the club and should be returned to the Committee if you do not wish to renew your membership.

37)     No tin cans permitted. Baits like sweet corn, hemp, Spam etc. to be decanted into plastic bait boxes. (To prevent dangerous litter).

38)     No fixed lead bolt rigs permitted.

39)     Any wilful or malicious damage caused will not be covered by the club. The individual will be responsible for the cost of repair or replacement of any damage caused.

40)    Membership cards must be carried by members and guests and presented on request.

41)    There will be a limit of 2 Rods per person

42)    NO bait boats allowed

43)  The Minimum age for KHAC members is 16 years of age

Rules for the Grove, Cheshire Home Lake

 The season will be from 16th June  2009 to 28th February 2010

Access to the lake is by main entrance only

Cars to be parked in the designated car park

 Permits are not transferable

No pets, guns or litter. 

Fishing is strictly dawn to dusk

A maximum of two rods can be used.

No species of fish are to be sacked or kept in nets.

No fish to be removed from the lake  Good unhooking mats are to be used at all times 

BARBLESS hooks only. You must at all times have medi-carp or similar available for treatment of hook wounds and any visible sores.

 No particle baits (nuts, beans, seeds etc)

 Ensure gates to platforms are bolted before leaving 

You must not divert from the footpath around the lake..

The path is to be kept clear at all times.

 If the fishery has to close at anytime during the season there will be no financial refund.

Resident and staff permit holders may not fish from syndicate swims.

Anyone breaking these rules or causing problems in general, especially the use of bad language, will be asked to leave and their permit will be withdrawn.

 The site is a Leonard Cheshire Disability Care Home with nursing and respect must be shown at all times to staff & residents.
